Data Integration: Automatic role assignment based on SIS role

If you are syncing with you SIS via Edlink, you have the ability to enable Auto Mapping. This means that the roles assigned to your staff in your SIS are automatically assigned to them in StudentKeeper.

Prerequisites:

• Administrator Access
• Data sync with SIS via Edlink

Enabling Auto Mapping for StudentKeeper roles

This is currently only compatible with our system groups. Below is a list of Edlink roles and how they match up to our system roles in the format: Edlink > StudentKeeper.

• Student > Student
• District-Administrator> Admin
• Administrator>Staff
• Teacher>Teacher
• observer> none
• Parent> Guardian
• Guardian> Guardian
• ta>Proctor 
• aide>Proctor
• designer>staff

To enable this follow the steps below:

1. Click on User/Role Management.
   
   
   
   
2. Select Roles & Permissions.
   
   
   
   
3. Click on a system group and then select Edit Role.
   
   
   
   
4. Toggle on the Auto Mapping option to begin matching roles to the conversion chart listed above. Click Save in the bottom right corner.
   
   
   
   
5. Repeat the process for all of the Groups you want automatically mapped.
