Filter Rules: Configure Custom URLs

Within the StudentKeeper platform, you have the ability to allow or block website URLs or even specific parts of the site regardless of which category they are processed in.

Prerequisites

• Subscription to Filter
• Access to Policy Manager

To allow/block specific URLS:

1. Navigate to Web Filter and select Policies
   
   
   
   2. Click on the desired policy you want to make the change on.
   
   
   
   3. Once within the Policy window, click on Custom URLs.
   
   
   
   4. Click + Add URL to add an individual site. Or below, click on + Import URLs, which allows you upload multiple URLs at the same time. Added URLs can be set to allow, block or ignore.  Admin can also add *wildcard*  option. This allows you to block any sites associated with that wildcard option, i.e. *Google.com*.

 5. Click the dropdown to Ignore or Block the URLs NOT listed below. You also have the option to block IP addresses as a URL on the policy.

6. If you want to copy rules from another policy, click the Copy Rules From dropdown button and select the desired policy. Click the Save button to save changes.
