StudentKeeper can use a number of data sources to sync user and class rostering data. This is primarily done through EdLink (US customers).
Prerequisites
- Administrative access to EdLink (Customer and Ativion Admin)
- Administrative access to StudentKeeper (Customer)
- Ativion Admin access to StudentKeeper (Activation)
1. Login to StudentKeeper
2. Navigate to Settings and select Data Integration.
3. On the Integrations bar, select the Connect with EdLink button.
4. A new window will open requiring you to sign-in to your EdLink account with administrative privileges. You will need to select your Data Source from the LMS or SIS tab, then complete the configuration steps.
5. Once the configuration wizard is complete, the integration will appear in the Ativion Admin > Integrations menu as 'Pending Approval' for that customer.
6. An Ativion Admin will need to login to EdLink and select Integrations from the left menu.
7. Utilize the Search Integrations box to locate the new customer integration.
8. Once located, select the integration with StudentKeeper showing in the Application column. The State will also show as Requested.
9. Select the Activate Integration button located in the upper right corner.
10. A Change Integration Status box will appear. Select Active to enable the integration.
11. Once Active, return to Ativion Admin > Integrations and locate the Pending Approval listing for the organization.
12. Click on the Pending Approval row for the organization. Select the Approve button on the orange Pending Approval banner.
13. A green Integration Approved box will appear at the top of the screen indicating that the integration was successfully activated.
14. Return to Ativion Admin > Integrations. Locate the customer and verify that the status shows Sync Required.
15. Scroll to the right and select the icon to Start Incremental Sync.
16. The sync will then move to the top, where the status will show as Running.
17. If the status shows as Error, Check back with the integration in EdLink. If the sync interval is listed as Every 24 Hours, the sync will take place when the customer has set their sync interval to occur.
